Branding logo
A logo is a powerful symbol of your brand, even in limited space.
Your logo should be visible across all platforms, including social media, videos, email signatures, and physical products.
Consider Apple as an example. While technology products become increasingly similar in appearance, Apple's logo remains a unique and easily recognizable identifier for the brand.
Logos are essential for all businesses and individuals to promote brand awareness and stand out.
Designing a logo is a complex process that involves choosing the right fonts, colors, and other factors.
Dieci Studio
The branding of Dieci Studio holds a lot of personal meaning for me. I didn't just create it for the sake of having a branding behind my company name, but rather because I wanted to incorporate a bit of myself into it. Dieci is the Italian word for ten, which happens to be my soccer number since I was 11 years old, and I am the tenth child in my family. The bull in the branding represents my zodiac sign, Taurus, and my childhood nickname 'Torrito', which means little bull in Spanish. The five towers symbolize my last name, Torres, which means towers in Spanish, and is also present in my coat of arms. Finally, 'TX' represents my hometown, Texas.
mann
I was tasked with designing a logo for a local business that specializes in chrome plating. The owners wanted to revamp their branding as they felt it was outdated. I was given complete creative freedom regarding the colors and design direction. When I first met with the owners, they arrived in a beautifully restored old firetruck that had been outfitted with shiny, new chrome plating. This inspired the design direction for the logo. To capture the company's specialty, I used a Pantone color 1795 C for the red and created the logo's vector in Illustrator. I also added a frame, played around with shadows, and gave the outer frame a chrome effect using lighting effects in Photoshop.
jbj countertops
A new company that specializes in countertop manufacturing approached me with a request to design a logo that would reflect elegance. The logo was to be used on their apparel and print materials, and they wanted to use the JBJ branding alone. They provided me with a few ideas that they wanted to be incorporated into the logo design, which led to the creation of a unique candle-like lowercase "j".
Rebel video marketing
This logo was created with the idea that they are creating and capturing extreme footage with a grungy look. As I was going through the design phase. I came up with the idea of designing a film reel, deleting the outer ring, and giving it the grungy look they were looking for. In the end, the design gave it a 6-shooter revolver look, I gave it the grungy effect which captured the look they wanted out of it. To me, it reminded me of something I would see in and old western wanted poster
Inworx
Back in 2014, I was hired as a freelance UX designer to help with the initial branding of Inworx, a scheduling tool that was supposed to be built. The client wanted a simple and clean design and asked me to experiment with typography for the logo. As I worked on a few ideas for the logo, I had to consider various factors.
At that time, my computer was causing me trouble, displaying loading icons and the infamous spinning pinwheel of death. It was then that I came up with the idea of incorporating the loading icon into the logo. The scheduling tool is always inworx.
JR Renovations
This company specializes in renovating both new and used homes, while adding significant value to their customers' properties. Initially, their logo was simply plain black text, lacking representation of their services and unable to function as branding. After several iterations, we arrived at a design that showcases their work, with a blueprint used as the background and the blue color as their primary branding color. This new logo was quickly adopted throughout the company and fleet, rebranding their entire image. Even today, I still feel excited when I randomly spot this logo in the city.
